Jennette was awarded the prestigious honour of California Arts Scholar in 1996 and went on to study voice at the University of San Diego, later obtaining a Master's degree in Musicology at the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne.

She has appeared as Susannah (Marriage of Figaro), Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), and as a Grace and the Shepherdess (Venus and Adonis), and has performed as a soloist with various groups such as the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, San Diego's Cappella Gloriana, and the San Diego University Orchestra in works including La Nuit D'ete (Berlioz), Litanae Lauretenae (Biber), and Messiah (Handel) among others. Jennette was a chorus member in Opera London's production of the Marriage of Figaro and Vox Lirika's production of La Traviata. She has been a chorister with the London Philharmonic Choir, Melbourne Chorale, Oxford University Chorus, the Cathedral Singers at St. Patrick's Melbourne, St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral Choir San Diego, and a Choral Scholar at both the University of San Diego and the Australian Catholic University.

Jennette gave voice lessons in London and has since relocated to Melbourne in 2009, where she now provides lessons to vocal students of all ages and experience levels. Jennette currently studies with Merlyn Quaife, former head of Voice at University of Melbourne. She has additionally studied with such vocal coaches as Dr. Virginia Sublett, Michelle Cressida, and Julia Nafisi.
